BET Music Matters approved, this singer/songwriter hailing from Hollis Queens is making some serious waves in the music industry. You’ve heard her voice in commercials for Vicks, NyQuill, Reeses Pieces and more. You’ve seen her face on BET and Centric. This young woman is truly on the rise.
Lydia Caesar’s debut album “CAESAR” is a game changer. Penning every song herself, Lydia’s talent is undeniable. With no major label behind her the two lead singles off of the album have had an impressive reach. “Lottery” being played on two of New York’s biggest radio stations Hot 97 & Power 105.1. As well as two of Lydia’s music videos being “New Joints of the day” on BET’s 106 & Park; the “St.Louis” video as well as “Lottery”. Miss Caesar also had the pleasure of being invited to St.Louis to perform her song “St.Louis” on the Fox 2 news morning show. Britney Spears called ‘St.Louis “A Hit song” Antiono L.A Reid said “The song is great, beautiful writing” and Simon Cowell said “St.Louis is a great record” These comments followed Lydia’s performance of the song on The X Factor stage season 2. With a dynamic stage show, Lydia has opened up for Patti LaBelle, TGT, Brandy, Melanie Fiona, Robin Thicke, Ciara, Day 26, Trey Songz and more. Lydia hosts as well and has worked with Tyson Beckford, Carl Thomas, Iman Shumpert and others hosting events throughout New York City.
Not limited to just singing Lydia takes pride in being a songwriter as well. She is the recent winner of the ASCAP collective songwriting workshop competition. Her Song ‘St.Louis” was also nominated for the 2014 Sammy Chan award. Lydia co-wrote “Wanna go back” with Jason Derulo for Def Jam/Beluga Heights own “Mann” which appeared on Manns Debut album “Manns World”. Caesar is also a part of a songwriting duo called Flight 78. She and her writing partner Wayne “Heethen” Adams penned “Fuel My Fire” a record for X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro which will be released as Melanie’s first single off of her new project this summer 2014. In addition to this Miss Caesar landed three songs (No Regrets, The Most Beautiful & Through It All) two of which are on her current album CAESAR in a film by Troy Beyer “I think I hate my Ex” slated to be released early 2015.
